Google Analytics

The page templates reviewed load Google Analytics 4 through Google's gtag.js tag. Google says its GA4 JavaScript tags use first-party cookies to distinguish users and sessions. Google's published defaults list _ga and _ga_<container-id>; the default expiry is up to two years, subject to browser limits and any property-level overrides. We have not verified NewCarOffer's Google Analytics property settings, so the actual cookies and retention may differ. See Google's GA4 cookie documentation.

Saved offers in browser storage

The homepage stores saved offer identifiers in browser Local Storage under nco_bookmarks. This is not a cookie. The site code sets no expiry for this value and uses it to restore the saved-offer list in that browser. Clear the site's stored data in your browser to remove it.

Advertising and other cookies

No advertising tag or pixel was found in the public page code reviewed. The repository does not show whether the Google Analytics property is linked to an advertising product, and no account-level advertising setting is claimed here. External sites may set their own cookies or similar technologies after you follow a link.

Managing cookies and storage

You can use browser settings to block or remove cookies and clear site data, including Local Storage. Browser controls vary, and blocking cookies does not necessarily prevent a page from sending requests to an analytics provider. You may also use browser or network tools to block Google's tag host.

Consent controls and implementation gap

The current page code loads Google Analytics before any on-site choice and contains no cookie banner, consent preference center or analytics opt-out control. The site serves markets with different rules. Official German supervisory guidance describes prior consent for non-essential device storage or access, subject to narrow exceptions; the UK analytics exception is also limited. This review is not a legal determination for every visitor or market, and Google property settings may change the analysis. A policy page is not a substitute for a consent control where one is required. The site owner should review the GA4 configuration and applicable requirements with qualified counsel before relying on this setup.
